I dont really utilize FB much anymore but need to vent this! I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to run to the grocery store with both kiddos while my little ones were fussy and tired both coming off of colds. Lethal combination! First sign it was going to go poorly-they had no double carts/no kid carts at all. Should have gone home then as Daddy wasnt with us to help tonight. I moved forward though. So we were managing, quickly, with some fusses and whines here and there, but nearing checkout both kids just lost it. Screaming, crying, both wanting Mommy to hold them. Here I am one kid in each arm, trying to maneuver a shopping cart towards the checkout, get my wallet out and pay while fending off the nasty looks and comments about getting my kids under control. Meanwhile not one person....not a single one...offered to help me with anything at all. Perhaps offer to help with the cart? I was clearly overwhelmed and very disappointed in the people around me. So to those people who were so clearly judging me on things out of my control-Say sick and tired babies-I hope if faced with the same situation a Good Samaritan would think to take action and lend a helping hand as it obviously happens less and less these days. I always jump to go out of my way to open a door, or help the elderly out to their car, or just offer a helping hand when and where its needed. I truly hope I am raising (despite the episode this evening) :) gracious and giving kids because as I get older I really realize and put to use the values my parents instilled in me. And Thats all!
