Its another classical chinese legend about what they had before and what they dont have now.. ________________________ Story of Fushan (Yantai, Shandong) Six Harmonies staff. It happened in the days of the Ming dynasty, one official from Nan Tu Shan (one little village in Yantai Foshan aria) named Yu Erzhi was sent to Cang Zhou city (He Bei province) for the government post. One day on the way to Cang Zhou city Yu Erzhi stopped at one inn to have a rest, when suddenly a man came running into the yard, asking for protection. Immediately after that two small official poll tax collectors ran into the yard. Yu Erzhi stopped them and called the stranger his servant, asking officers to release him. When officers left, the stranger who called himself Yu Qiu, began to thank Yu Erzhi and after followed him to Cang Zhou city becoming his attorney and a servant. Yu Erzhi stayed in Cang Zhou six years, after that he returned to his home in Nan Tu Shan village. Yu Qiu followed after him, continuing to serve him faithfully and becoming a very close friend of the Yu Erzhi family. Yu Erzhi had one grandson, who loved martial arts very much. His family even specially invited a teacher to teach him. Once there was a very hot summer day. The grandson went to the back yard to train. Made a tea and leaving it to cool down, the young man began to practice. Yu Qiu at this time didn’t have anything to do and was resting nearby. When the young man felt thirsty, he wanted to drink the tea, but found that Yu Qiu already drank it. Then the young man poured boiling water again and returned to his execises. After a while he returned to have a drink, but again found out that Yu Qiu and this time drank his cup too. This was happened three times. The young man was tired, very thirsty, but did not show any discontent and continued to train hard. Yu Qiu seeing the sincerity, kindness and hard work of the young man decided to teach him hidden many years from others his art of six harmonies staff. Every year on the 18th of the fourth lunar month village festival people also elected 36 people, who was a good fighter with Six Harmonies staff to protect and maintain order.
