I dont still get it.I do the close follow up of some other countries around the world in their political best practices including the position and contributions of some of their vital institutions like this of the Police with their exclusive and vital role in sustaining the system rarely I could found any history of where the National security of a country that supposed to be practically impartial and non-partisan are used against the parliament members.It is obvious that The Nigeria Police Force has a genuine excuse of being alerted by their intelligence report of an invasion of hoodlums and thugs that prompted them to forestall their personnel in preventing what could later be a disaster into what has now made them the Protagonist.Let us just put it this way in a language we all do understamd.Somebody alerted the police that some burglars are coming to operates in a neighborhood,the police prepared themselves to prevent the operations from taking effect but at the time the operation were to be effective not only the police couldnt chase away the burglars they as well resulted to be the burglars.This is so simple if the IGP has sent his men to maintain law and order at the entrance of the parliament building and the story indicates effectiveness of the screening by the police until the cordon were broken and no thug was reported detained or arrested except that the police provoked the chaotic situation of disorderliness and the world record of public nuisance of lawmakers jumping fences were recorded.In other word the police could not chase away any thugs but they themselves resulted to be the thugs. There is only one simple conclusion derived from this crooked story that hence The Nigeria Police Force belongs to all Nigerians to protect and serve the safety and well being of all Nigerians because this is their primary objective and that is why all citizens pay their respective taxes to service the institution NOBODY inclusively political parties has the utmost right to deviate their principal function of the institution in protecting the citizens and NOT using it against any individual.The abuse and impunity in the case of the IGP could be reflected in this situation obviously HE has to serve the master whereas the political party in power BUT The Nigeria Police Force is not a political establishment this is a sovereign state institution and the IGP firstly need to reckon with this and made IMPARTIALITY his watchword.Politicians comes and goes away but Public Insttitution remains intact.
