I dont think POC should be included just BECAUSE they are that, but is kinda disappointing. not really surprising though and I cant think of many female directors (ah, Jolie maybe?). IMO, the problem is that most ethnic movies only appeal to a narrow audience instead of everyone. People generally only wanna see what they can relate or at least understand. Ive seen some east indian movies that to me, were not interesting at all,but I wasnt the target audience so...If there were more films that reflect the reality of a multicultural US then we would have more variety as a result on awards shows.-not that this is all that important anyways. I barely even watch that stuff.the same thing(limited recognition for POC) applies to popular fiction. and why arent there more women directors as well?-just my two cents
