I dont understand the mentality- that, when presented with a person who needs help, whos in trouble, and you can reach out to them- the answer is I dont get involved and/or Why should I?. There is a world of hurt that youve gone through -but everyone has had a moment, when a stranger has reached out with some small kindness- everyone. As horrible as this world can be, as hard as you can become- there is no one has been untouched by generousity in this world, especially in America- even if you didnt see that generousity, even if you assigned it mistrust, or out of the wrong motivations- someone has been kind to you, at least once. Find a way to be kind back. This is our treasure, held in earthen vessels in this world. there are wll be no pocket that can carry your money to heaven, and time has no measure in your coffin- the time you didnt invest in other people, the money you held tightly on to- you cant take it with you. Be generous. Be loving. Treasure the lives of strangers- the rewards outweigh the risk.
