I dont usually do this because of my work, and Im still trying to comprehend what I saw... but Ive come to the conclusion that Transformers Age of Extinction is by far the shittest movie Ive seen this year.... easily the most soul crushing and relentless. During a car chase in an area crowded by pedestrians, one of the heroes - the heroes - yells in frustration, “Just run over them!” Also, its the gold standard of product placement in film... calculated and unashamed product placement. Furthermore, Optimus Prime frees some Transformers before beating them into servitude in the name of freedom. He literally tells one of the Transformers that hes giving him freedom & follows that up with You will defend my family or die! These are just a couple of points, theres 100s of issues I have with this film. And if anyone asks, Why cant you turn off your brain and have fun? The answer is, Because my brain is where I feel and perceive fun. Few films will ever be as bad as the 2nd Transformers movie, but this new one gives that incoherent pile of shit a run for its money.
