I dont usually rant on Facebook, but Im going to take a few minutes to speak my little mind. In the recent elections I was told I needed to support a tax that supported the growth of our Parks and Rec. I was told how declining tax revenues were destroying the growth of our community and how the city would need to cut positions to continue... As I read peoples facebook timeline, my ire continues to grow...Many of the people that scolded me for NOT supporting this tax seem to spend almost EVERY weekend out of town. Partying, dining, shopping and whatever.....Spending their earned income outside the very area that I was condemned for NOT supporting? Sadly, many of these people are City employees and Chamber of Commerce supporters. Instead of supporting a big tax initiative, lets try something basic like SHOP, DINE AND ENJOY LOCALLY... rant over.
