I dont usually share other peoples content on this page, much less content about world-class climbing athletes (as I know next to nothing about this topic), but here we are anyway. All last night and this morning, I somehow found myself sucked into a world of Youtube climbing videos after yesterdays El Capitan, #DawnWall summit made by Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgenson. I fell down the rabbit hole and, video by video, became increasingly transfixed by the gall, mental focus and determination of people who take on these seemingly out-of-this-world impossible feats. Thats when I stumbled across this video featuring Alex Honnold solo climbing a 2000 ft wall with nothing but his hands and feet keeping him from plummeting to certain death. My palms were sweaty just watching him. But perhaps what stuck with me more was when he said, The only thing keeping me from falling off that wall is 100% certainty that I wont fall off that wall. Now that is a message that I think we can all take to heart. That the insidious feeling of doubt is the most damaging and inhibiting of all. So whatever your venture is, maybe you will feel inspired like me by these crazy people and remember that the control is ultimately up to you, quieting the nay-sayers that lie within in your own head is all you need to do. https://youtube/watch?v=neurxBATsBw
