I dont usually talk politics but today I am saddened by comments specifically from the Christian community on Obamas Immigration reform... Ok... I am not a democrat but finally Obama has done something to improve our nations values and possibly bring hope to our nations financial situation.... The business person in me says this is a great opportunity to make money and help our nations deficit!!!! If those 5 million people who are undocumented would pay a $10,000 fine for being in USA undocumented and would get their working papers and citizenship with out the need of a lawyer ... (just a process like getting a drivers license...) people would pay the fine because they just want to work and make a better life for themselves... at least it would put some money into the deficit.... 5 million times $10,000... its not change money. But the Christian in me: Is saddened when I read ignorant comments and accusations about how undocumented people get government benefits... because it is not true... they cant...those are ignorant racial statements... and the sad part is that many comments are made by Republican Christians.... I wonder what Jesus would say to us Republican Christians making those statements..!!! Bottom line is: We need people to do the labor that USA citizens dont want to do... We need people to go to universities to get professions that USA citizens dont want ... Lets be real... there are many young USA citizens who drop out of school and could care less for higher education... just look at the stats...but it is easier to blame and point and judge.... self righteous people need to stop the ignorant statements and get educated ... and definitely not from their political parties propaganda... I really believe that if immigrants get documents and are given an opportunity they will improve the economy in the USA... because they are not afraid to work... Now we all know that Hispanics/Latinos like a good life and they are not afraid to spend their money...STATS prove it...This is the reason why many corporations want the Hispanic/Latino market... They want to sell their product and make money from us !!!! it is discrimination that has blinded people to see the reality and they have mislabeled lazy people with undocumented people... Also uneducated people...thus making them ignorant people...seem to think that Hispanics/Latinos are the only undocumented people n the USA... they ignore the facts that all continents are represented in the USA demographics of undocumented people in the USA.... It is corrupt government and prejudice (due to lack of Gods presence and love in their life) that is bringing USA down NOT undocumented people... Hispanics/Latinos are not here to massacre whites... we are not here to steal nor to destroy... we are here to make a better life for ourselves and that includes our community... and as Christians we also have a lot to give...not take... People need to get educated on statistics and stop the obnoxious comments because many of the undocumented (specifically Hispanics/Latinos) have taken care of children, lawns, cars, farms and much more for many USA families...and they have been taken advantage of by not getting fair wages, benefits, and many of them have been mistreated and abused by their USA citizens employers... So today there is victory for undocumented families in USA... and I am glad for them... everyone deserves mercy and an opportunity to live a dignified life! The only real Americans are the native Americans and the Mexicans whose land was taken from them and now belongs to USA...a very unjust purchase of land ..I must say...(Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo).... We as a nation need to become more educated on history, statistics and yearn for the love of God...so that we dont make statements that are ignorant in nature and destroy the morale of our nation.
