I dont usually use this platform to share anything that does not concern my work. But at this point I feel, I have to give a statement as a public figure to what madness is going on in the world, as a reaction to the terrible events in Paris. It is painful to me to see people going blind with hatred and fear, blaming a religion of billions of people, while these acts of terror are mainly politically motivated and not an example for the Islam how people all over the world practice and experience it, in peace. Let us not loose our biggest values: our tolerance, our education, the ability to distinguish essential facts. Everyone can contribute to peace in this world, in every moment. We can choose if anger and fear or compassion guides us in what we think, say and do.
