I dont want this post to be taken negatively by anyone in particular, its just a general observation. So we all know Im quick to help people with their build questions, their emergency problems (even self-inflicted), and their misunderstandings. I get it, this stuff is complicated. Their is lots of misinformation out there, and some is even malicious. Shady shops will lie to you and convince you to get parts that are sub-par, or low quality, or that they have in stock. Some tuners will try to bait you in with extra discounts, or ludicrous promises. Your friends that know everything dont really know and your cousin thats a master tech really worked recon at the dealership. Anyone thats been around knows how this all works. BUT When I spend hours or days helping you sort through your, the previous owners, your shops, or your tuners mistakes...when I sit back and explain to you how things actually work and why you should do what I recommend....when I provide you the knowledge and feedback to completely diagnose an issue instead of getting raped on diagnostics or random parts.... if you go buy everything I recommended off random internet websites, Im done. If you feel that my time and support is not worth the (very small to zero) discount you get on the internet versus what I would gladly sell you parts for, why should I continue to support you? I sell all parts at MAP. Anyone undercutting MAP is already doing the industry a disservice and if they are promoting things under MAP they are violating their agreements with their manufacturers and distributors. Im not angry, dont get me wrong. In the long run Im not the one that suffers here. Im way past that point, these days I just shake my head and move on. I just wanted to put this out there publicly, that Im no longer going to provide infinite top tier installation and tech support for parts I didnt supply. Try contacting Bobs ebay store for installation support lol. Im also ceasing supporting and troubleshooting other peoples questionable tunes. If you got a tune, and it sucks, I can fix that. If you have mechanical problems I can diagnose/fix those too. But I cant do it for free anymore. Hopefully this does not come off as a rant. I love my customers, and I go way out of my way to take care of everyone and many of my customers become friends over time. Once we build a trust between us, youll always have my support. This is just a wake up call that sometimes the bottom dollar is not the best deal. I know my industry counterparts likely feel the same way. nuff said - back to your regularly scheduled facebooking
