I dont want to hear one more candidate nor current elected official say that our immigration system is broken. The only thing broken about it is that our own immigration laws are not enforced. When a candidate begins his/her statement with those words, they are creating a misconception in the mind of the American public. Enforce the laws already on the books, Secure all borders effectively (a completed fence & boots on the ground), Implement Everify with consequences for employers who hire illegals, create an entry/exit system to apprehend those who overstay their visas, end birthright citizenship for children of illegals, remove all magnets such as free public education for illegals, drivers licenses, in state tuition, and state government assistance. And, under no circumstances give Amnesty. Reagan did it in 1986 and it only served to increase illegal immigration. Follow a plan such as this, and I assure you that many will self-deport and many others will be deported.
