I don’t have one single problem with Immigration Minister Scott Morrison deporting people, the media are besides themselves but they are not running Australia, we don’t want these animals living here. We have to get legislation passed to over ride the Administrative Appeals Tribunal as well. Scott Morrison has ordered the deportation of 27 violent criminals in the past five days. Mr Morrison has new powers to cancel the visas of non-citizens in jail, without giving them any notice. Amendments to the Migration Act, which received royal assent this week, provide for “mandatory visa cancellation without notice’’ for foreign citizens in Australian jails. The prisoners will be deported as soon as they are released from jail. Their visas will be cancelled on the grounds they have failed the character test, which prevents migrants entering or staying in Australia if they have a serious criminal record.
