I don’t want to be the voice of my generation Cause when the moment calls for it And I’m standing on stage in front of my peers My voice will croak From all the baby toads I accidentally ate Cause you see The fairy tales never told me How to get the princess without Being rich and famous So I drank from the waters of toads Hoping that their bathwater Will birth me a beautifully princess someday But when all the toads are fully grown And have call my throat home All the caterpillars that I ate Will finally emerge from their cocoons Cause you see Caterpillars have always been ugly But their crawl into their cocoons And become beautiful butterflies So I thought that eating A handful of caterpillars Hoping that they will build a cocoon in me And help me become beautiful someday And once all these beautiful butterflies Are circling around my lower intestines My heart becomes a little bit heavier Cause you see I always wanted to wear my heart on my sleeve So everyone can see how I feel So I cut it out and pasted it on my favorite shirt But I needed something to fill the void it left So I replaced it with an ice box That left me cold and frigged Hoping that the ice box Will help me get rid of my hot headiness someday
