I dreamed last night that Harlan High had an extremely large reunion celebration. Each sport, club, or group had a former member chosen to speak in an effort to encourage current students to join said group & to gain donations from members of the audience. Even though I can think of a number of others that would have been better for the job, for some reason I was chosen to represent the Musettes. I was completely shocked and unprepared but I sucked it up and walked on stage in front of hundreds, maybe thousands of people. Not knowing what to do to convince everyone that Musettes was the group to support, I turned to the crowd and said I cant think of a better way to express my love for the Harlan Musettes than to show you through the power of song. I pulled some of our most amazing singers from my high school days out of the crowd and asked if they knew the song I was thinking of, to which all of them smiled and nodded. I then used a pitch pipe and directed the ladies in the most moving performance of Preludium(from The Sound of Music). The entire audience stood & cheered, not a dry eye in the place. Moral of this dream, I kind of rock at life.
