I drive an hour an a half, early in the morning with four kids. I sit in an office with my ten year old sassing off (in a ten year olds way...not bad, just enough to get under MOMS skin...) My nine year old sitting on a table talking with his endo, my two year old opening EVERY drawer possible and my three year old attempting to run out the door about every 15 seconds........ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I ALWAYS look at the bright side, I ALWAYS search and FIND a silver lining. Even with my sons Type One Diabetes, I focus on the incredible things its brought about!! At his appointment today, we had horrible numbers and some pretty serious nerve damage happening already. [Not surprised as I wanted him checked at 3 and they refused till he was 7...] This breaks my heart. B U T......I never let it get me down. It could be worse. MUCH worse. I know TOO MANY people who are going through SO MUCH MORE than this...Im thankful its not worse. I make sure to keep that thanks and my prayers for everyone else at the forefront of my mind...not simmering in the back but at the FOREFRONT of my mind so I dont start to throw a pity part..... And I know that EVERYTHING {**GOD**} has brought to us, is to prepare us. I have little doubt he is preparing my son for something H U G E. This boy amazes me. So positive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So as we are sitting there and I am grabbing my three year old and my two year old and giving my ten year old the look and the doc tells me Looks like we are dealing with some nerve damage already, I hear my ten year old say, So when he loses his leg HE doesnt have to do chores anymore???? {attitude.... I think he needs some one-on-one time
