I encourage you all to volunteer your time with the elderly and the children in your neighborhood. Some ideas : help your old neighbors take out their trash or bring their cans in for them, throw the ball with the little boys who are being raised by single mothers, plan a girls day for the so glad moms and little girls to walk the mall, if you see an old lady at a bus stop with no covering or seating offer to take her to one that has it, make a few goodie bags for the homeless and pass them out downtown, have your teens cut the grass for an elderly, handicapped, or even pregnant neighbors. This will definitely help bring the community together. :) And a close community is proven to have less crime. :)
