I feel at this time I can share a little about the progress Zac has made over the last few weeks. Zac has been laying in the hospital bed now for almost 9 months, the diagnosis in the beginning was not good. We were not given much hope. They believed that Zac would not walk again and were unsure of just how much he would recover from his injuries. Day by day, little by little Zac was showing us signs that he was still there. Tiny little glimpses of hope to keep us going. There were times and setbacks that gave us such a scare, but he pushed through and each time he pushed through he came back stronger, as of Christmas, Zac is now beginning to respond in so many ways he is so much more aware of his surroundings. I ask him to do certain things now and he responds with amazing determination and does it. The most precious thing of all is when I ask for his hand he gives it to me and squeezes my hand. Today it was confirmed that he has definite movement in his legs, I have known for quite a while and showed the nurses what he could do, (thank you for believing in us), but having it confirmed was the best part of my day. I know with all that is in me from the deepest part of my soul that Zac will be ok and he will be living proof of an incredible miracle. This is Zacs story and he will tell us all one day of how it looked and felt from the inside. I love you Zac forever and always Mom ❤️
