I feel compelled to exert a point of clarification. Lawyers are not the cause of our suffering. Neither is Government, and neither are Courts. Oh sure, they each represent "a" cause, but they are not "the" only cause. Please understand, ultimately, custody problems boil down to the two parents, period - they are the cause, because if they are cooperating, none of the other parties mentioned above have any direct influence. Of course, the problem is that all it takes all it takes is one uncooperative parent to feed the system, and the system enables and empowers this behavior by incenting them to do it. The more powerful path to achieving our objectives is to convince the public to police itself - to use social pressure to put an end to the greed of family court because this makes all the other interested parties irrelevant. The less powerful path is to legalize our desires. Still, we must deal with the reality of human nature, and as result, work both channels of change. ~ Michael
