I feel its time to make a few observations about The Beatles Mono Reissues on 180 gram vinyl.One claim I have seen from a reviewer is that this is the way fans heard them in the 60s.Well no they didnt , because equipment in the 60s was no-where near as good as today.I listened -as most of you did in the 60s -on a record player with 3-4 speaker with a volume and a tone control....if you were lucky and your parents had a Radiogramme with stereo speakers that was the best you could hear.These days Turntables have great arms with superior cartridges.Also Your playback is down to all the other components in your system your amplifier or amplifiers,your speakers,your cables,your inter-connects,so before you make claims about you are listening to superior sound...Take your Beatles albums to a high end hi-fi store and listen through a hi end system.Probably worth thousands of $ and then say....WOW.......I do believe that vinyl is wonderful .However I welcome these releases and one day I hope I listen on a High $ system .I still got more of a high than anyone today listening to these albums on the day of their release back in Middle Earth.....
