I feel like Im pretty strong when it comes to what my husband does but over the last couple days I have let the negativity get in my head. I am reminded of exactly why I dont read news articles or the comments on stories such like the one in New York. This morning as my husband was getting ready for work and I saw him put on his bulletproof vest for the first time I broke down. Tears of worry streamed down my face. I thought of all the comments of how ungrateful people were of the two officers that paid the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of all of us. I try to believe that there is more good in this world than bad but right now its hard. These men and women that I get up every day and sacrifice their own lives to protect all of us is one of the most courageous, selfless and thankless jobs anybody could do. Their every move is criticized and judged under a microscope when in most situations they have a split second to react. Many who are clueless as to what it even entails are so quick to jump on and offer their uneducated opinion. Today I have to let go of the uncontrollable...I pray for the safety of these men and women who put their lives on the line every day. May God keep you safe. ❤️
