I feel like resigning myself to the fact that Ben will always be aggressive/reactive to other dogs. The amount of training I have done with him and all the positive experiences around other dogs just doesnt seem to be working, when we saw the trainer and his dogs he was great, when I do controlled training with dogs he hasnt met before he is great, when I used on lead dogs on the local field to train him he was great. So why will he still have episodes when dogs come up to him or some that come too close, I know its about threshold and distance, but I have done close proximity training in a controlled way and he was also great. Sorry I am having a moan but I read all these stories of peoples dogs who have improved, but mine hasnt.
