I feel like this idea of being tied down or not able to find yourself or chase your dreams while in a relationship is bogus. When in a relationship with someone youre their supporter, their number one fan, you should be helping them chase their dreams, telling them they can do whatever their hearts desire. If you dont want them to achieve their goals, chase their dreams, be happy, then do you really care about that person? Because if you truly care about someone youll want them to have whatever their little heart desires. Their happiness should give you happiness. Ive always been a supporter of chasing your dreams, doing what you feel is your calling in life, or finding your calling. Not once have I said to a boyfriend/friend/family member/stranger no, you cant do that, youll never get there or anything along the lines of controlling their life. Its still their life not mine, I cant tell them what they can and cant do nor do I want to. Id want them to support my dreams so why wouldnt I support theirs? Support in relationships should not be one sided. Instead it should be common; caring isnt controlling. Rant over.
