I feel really self-conscious asking, but... would any of you like to volunteer as models and/or references for my paintings? I have a gallery to fill by December. Time. The essence thereof. All that jazz. Ive been painting faces for my crayon-melts and other projects but the faces are all coming out as generic-zen-woman-#672. This bothers me. Apparently the face Im best at cranking out is generic-zen-woman-#672. I need to find more faces. And thats where you come in, if youre game. My friends would be much more rewarding to portray on canvas than generic-zen-woman-#672. Youd certainly feel more real... and youre certainly not generic. Not a single one of you is generic. So: If youd be content or even excited to be featured in something I make, let me know. I dont care about age, gender, or any of that nonsense. I just want to stare at your face like the creep I am. Since my friends are scattered all over the place, its unlikely Id get to see and paint many of you in person. If youd be OK with me shuffling through photos of you here on Facebook to use as references, let me know. Thanks in advance for any replies in the affirmative. I promise not to go through anyones photos if they respond with a no OR say nothing at all. No means no. Silence means no. Only yes means yes. And now were getting a little PSA-ish; time to wind it down... TL;DR: I will draw you like one of my French girls, if youre down for that.
