I feel so sorry for that author of this article. She seems so - TopicsExpress

I feel so sorry for that author of this article. She seems so bitter. At the end of the sarcastic rant she writes, But seriously, how does one do this? I still have 30-odd pounds of baby weight to lose. When I was gaining too much weight when I was pregnant, I asked my obstetrician what I should do and she said, Avoid certain foods, like some fruits and stuff. Avoid carbs. I said, Wait, what fruits should I avoid? And she said, I guess like all fruits? I can refer you to a nutritionist. So basically, even doctors dont know. It is sad that the only contact she has had with health has been hunger, pain and psychological damage. I agree wholeheartedly with her assessment of the fitness industry being mostly made up of fat diets and magic fitness routines. However, the industry isnt all like that. There are many trainers out there who truly want to help people feel good, not just make a quick buck. People who coach a way that is healthy, doesnt require never eating as she claims, and who coach self-worth and self-confidence. I apologise to Emily Lazzaro for the majority of our industry but hope she one day discovers that there are good people out there who could help her achieve her goals. Who could remove her confusion and direct her appropriately. She says even doctors dont know as if weight loss is this massive impossible secret. The reality is this - it isnt a secret but the solution is often buried amongst all the other crap. There will be something that fits her specific time constraints, lifestyle, preferences, ability, desire and physiology. Chances are shes been trying these fad diets she lists at random and is of course bitter when they dont work. They promise miracles and dont deliver because they werent suitable for her. Finding an expert who has filtered all the rubbish - who has done their research both in time with clients and formal education - could have saved this writer the obvious disappointment and bitterness she feels. Guys - you can achieve results and not feel starving all of the time. You dont have to go out and run for 45 minutes (and then another 45 minutes more as she suggests) and watch your ego drop to the centre of the earth just because a number on a scales isnt what you wanted. I know there is a lot of conflicting information out there and that is because different things have worked for different people at different times. If you feel as lost as the author of this article - and you got as far as reading this - then I know youre serious about your health and appearance. We can truly help in a way that will suit you.
