I feel sorry for folks who have no traditions for this season or havent started any traditions. For me theyre a source of comfort and memory. What brings this post at this time? Oh I just finished baking 24 bearocks. Sorry, I must have miss-counted, theres only 23....I mean 22. Anyway bearocks is kind-of a tradition I brought to our household back in 1965. During Thanksgiving of that year I was in college in Philips U. @ Enid, Oklahoma and visited the home of one of my BEST friends.. His mom made bearocks and I begged for the receipt and she gave it to me (the receipt). I took it home for Christmas that year and weve had them every since. My mom made them, then my sister, then my wife then my daughter and now me. Theyre still great even though the original receipt has been changed somewhat. Just thought Id share one of our traditions with yall. (oops, 21..20)
