I finally found a bigger cage that I could afford, its an old bird aviary, the thing is its too big to fit in my house lol. How would the rats do outside? Theyll be under cover, out of the wind, and I got a thick plastic sheet to cover the exposed area. Its getting down to 5c/41f at night, is that too much for ratties? Also, the wire on it is not covered, would that do damage to their hands? If I provide lots of other things to climb on will they still climb up the wire anyway, or will they choose the alternatives?
