I finally got my car back this lunchtime after a mere 15 days in the shop. Good thing too, as I have to drive to Toulouse tomorrow to pick up Matty. This afternoon I attended a funeral, which was a rather moving experience, although I forgot to put any change in the posh trousers I wore, so was embarrassed when the collection plate came round, especially since the priest had made a big thing throughout the service about the importance of loving and caring for one another. One curious feature of the communion was that, as far as I could tell, the priest offered none of the wine to the communicants (just the wafers), but drank it all himself.
