I finally got to listen this past weeks to your U-Tube message at youtube/watch?v=U8msYUbLGro. Thank you, it was great. I am in agreement with much of what you related, but the Jews, although Jewish, were no longer practicing Judaism right? So, they were then no longer practicing being Jewish even when going to the temple for they were proclaiming the gospel as they were now new creatures, Christian, or the Way, or what ever they called themselves until Antioch. I do realized why Paul wrote much of the “New Testament” since there were many gentiles being added to the ranks of the Christian community of believers who did not have a Jewish background reference that at times was needed. I consider the “Word of God” to be JESUS alone. The Torah and the scriptures: God’s relationship with man and His instructions to us while showing us how He preserved Israel and will us, and through understanding those relationships that all will be blessed. Especially if we keep focused on the eternal blessing. But neither the Torah nor the scriptures can save us, only Messiah Jesus can and that is why He is the WORD. Knowing the Lord, and by reading the Torah and the New Covenant and through teachings God has given Randall to share at our home gatherings and fellowship: I have come to understand what is of great benefit is to view all scripture through the eyes of Jesus but not because of His Jewish-ness. He has told us that He is no respecter of persons. But without God we are nothing and with Him we who believe are blessed without measure. I could not agree more that the “Church or Assembly” of today is way off the mark of God. So many are being misleading because of denominations, word faith proclamations, scripture being taken out of context; sermons and ministries riddled with enticing incentives, pushing product; mega churches that can not hold an individual to any accountability, and then there are those wonderful healing ministries, super pastors and even the man called Pope to be glorified, it goes on and on...the detouring of lives away from our true focus upon God. I believe that much if not most of what is called Christian truth in America is just fabrications and lies for itchy ears and lazy “faith-ers” that do not know or study the scriptures for them selves to be approved. The church is basically ineffective, dead and a real cause for prayer..may we not be called white spectaculars! It’s pathetic and I can certainly understand why: “He comes quickly”… What we, the children of light, really need to be is the Third Race: (First used as a taunt by Aristides and then taken up by Celsus against believers.) But I think still a good idea in walking out our faith, for we are “Neither Romans nor Greeks nor Barbarians, neither Jews nor Gentiles, neither rich nor poor, they were a healing community, they were one in Christ, they were a Third Race.” Pg 368, the Dust of Death by Os Guinness. And they made a difference! The Lord severely took me out of all that church jazz. because I was desperately seeking truth and love. The time I spent was not wasted within that community of Christian, Jewish Christian or the Arab Christian Fellowships for I learned a good deal that was and and continues to be beneficial in my walk. I have come to believe that anything or anyone that we allow to come between us and GOD is not of God. He deals with each of us individually and personally. We just have to tuned into the Holy Spirit and fully surrender to our Lord God in obediance. We also desperately need good teachers to waken the elect up to Gods simple truth and keep them praying! “For the Christians are distinguished from other men neither by country, nor language, nor the customs which they observe. For they neither inhabit cities of their own, nor employ a peculiar form of speech, nor lead a life which is marked out by any singularity. The course of conduct which they follow has not been devised by any speculation or deliberation of inquisitive men; nor do they, like some, proclaim themselves the advocates of any merely human doctrines. But, inhabiting Greek as well as barbarian cities, according as the lot of each of them has determined, and following the customs of the natives in respect to clothing, food, and the rest of their ordinary conduct, they display to us their wonderful and confessedly striking method of life.
