I find it amazing how bus drivers are always the first to get bashed if a student misses the bus. Has it ever occurred that your student may be late from time to time. That is why we say to be out side five minutes before their pickup time. That means they need to be waiting at the end of their driveway five minutes before. That they are not to be waiting inside where it is warm and not to be waiting on their porch. No one ever considers the next student standing at the end of their stop waiting in the rain and cold. We as drivers can not predict the weather, traffic and or whatever deer decides to run in front of us. Mechanical failures happen, Im sure parents have had problems with getting to work for the same reasons so why is it such a problem when a school bus is late or two minutes early? If the first three students decide not to ride that day that would put the driver a few min early. Again that is why the five minute curtesy is in place. We do our best to get your child to and from school so please dont be so quick to judge us.
