I find it funny that some concerned frnds are advising me to close this account and open a new one because according to them this one is polluted, I already have a bad image, a lot of people hate me, my profile is no longer decent etc, etc... But come to think of it, what is the aim of social network? Is it to package ur profile, prune it, project certain things and hide others, living a life of pretence, appearing calm and quite and gentle? Probably with the aim of attracting potential boyfriends or husband? Thats bullshit!! Ladies are careful not to damage their FB profile with their updates simply to improve their market price, playing into the hands of stupid men. If thats the whole idea of social media Im out of it! Its disgustingly boring and demeaning! My own idea of social media is NOT to build a wonderful profile and make myself acceptable. My own idea of social media is where we trash out difficult issues people are scared of discussing. Stir up discussions people shy away from. Since we cant see our faces at least we should be bold enough to talk about them. Social media is a free world. My FB profile is NOT my property. Anybody can decide to post whatever, it doesnt bother me cos I know that when we drop these phones and laptops we are pressing, when we come out of our hiding place behind the phone/laptop screens, the reality well face is a different ball game.
