I find it most strange that some sections of our populace are being told that their vote should depend on what artist they are allowed to see perform in Nevis for 60 minutes. Not the state of education, the economy, healthcare, security, jobs, cost of living, VAT but whether they get to see an artist for 60 minutes. Personally I think its a gross insult to our people especially our youth to tell them that their decision to elect a Government of their choice should depend on what entertainment they are offered. I ask rhetorically, when the band stops playing and the jump up is over, are your bills any less, your income any more, your future any brighter, your ability to feed your children any better? We must stop insulting our people. Many say they are for the youths but they encourage the youths to dumb down their expectations rather than raise them up. We must as a people move away from telling voters that once they are given party and drinks and jump up that they should ignore real issues that impact their lives.
