I find it utterly pathetic that the governor of Missouri had to declare a state of emergency today. Not that he did, but that the riots have gotten so violent and destructive of public and private property that he felt the need to. Innocent people are afraid to leave their homes, parents are too terrified to send their children to school, and a governor has to call in the military just to release a verdict because hes worried what protestors might do otherwise. Peaceful protest can get you a long way, but when you get so violent that you spread more terror than the police state you wish to abolish, you need to take a step back from the adrenaline rush and look at what youve done to your town.
