I find myself reading fictions that take place in places where I have lived or am quite familiar - Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Florida (the latter more often in the humorous genre). This ones in DC and Detective Fiona Fitzgerald is a force majuer. Nothing funny here but a darn good murder mystery with good cops, law enforcement rivalries between the various DC and Federal law enforcement entities, a starving media looking for scandals to bring more eyeballs to their papers and the stinking partisan rivalries that taint our capital today. This one is hard to put down. Ive not read much Adler but I will buy some more of his stories. Highly recommended.
