I find that I come back to this video on a weekly basis. Even though its in french, I havent seen anything that displays the intricate relationships of the intrinsic core -- hyoid, diaphragm, pelvic floor, transverse abdominis, and multifidus. As well as the secondary muscles that support breathing. I find it to be an awesome teaching tool for clients. The part that I love the most is seeing how the pelvic floor lengthen and stretch upon inhalation to absorb the contents of our internal organs as they shift downward. This is a super important function that I find many people are disconnected from or simple cannot do. Today I saw two clients with specific facilitated quadrants of the pelvic floor affecting their core stability. Part of their homework was to incorporate breathing through their floor while performing a movement that allowed the pelvic floor to naturally lengthen. It is amazing to see pain complaints, that appeared to be separate, shift or disappear once they got off the table. Love this work.
