I flew a small plane, a Cessna 172, from Ft Lauderdale, FL to Freeport, Bahamas. It is small plane only requiring single pilot operations and at 112 knots and 5500 feet of altitude the trip leaves you over ocean with no land in sight for 20 minutes. Piloting by myself with no passengers it is quiet except for the engine. Plenty of opportunity to 2nd guess your flight plan, doubt your memory of traffic controls last instructions, and you really start to notice how large the ocean is and how small you really are. In our walk with God there are often periods where we feel just like that. We heard clearly and left on our journey confident of Gods instructions. But between our place of origin and our destination there are often spaces between where we cant see our destination and we are too far away from what we were familiar with to go back. It can be a really lonely time and the lack of fellowship can lead you to doubt the plan. Anxiety can build and it is in this place that the devil tries to steal your seed of hope and plant his own of doubt. This is why it is important to hold on to what you know, what youve studied, what God has promised. Our Gods promises are yea and amen but between here and our mansion is our journey and our work. Stay busy. Stay encouraged. Focus on your destination, and trust Gods instructions.
