I fold my hands in prayer to our Mother Earth who gave me the courage and strength to narrate her story. In the process of rehearsing for the show, eating, sleeping and drinking the production of Bhumi, I started to feel her pain. The entire cast of 30 dancers fell sick, some with viral fever, others with dengue, some with respiratory problems and as for me the last week of the show I was hooked up to a breathing machine. The night before the show I was rushed to the hospital to get on a breathing machine and was prescribed severe medication so that my body would permit me to perform. On the stage as Kali was throwing me around I felt the complete agony of Bhumi and a part of me died at the mercy of destruction. Then as the journey of the show transitioned a sense of hope and love took over by entire being. Feeling the love from our incredible audience, gave me so much healing trength to persevere and work through the physical challenges I was experiencing. The most spin chilling feeling of my lifetime was looking out into the ocean of souls giving us a standing ovation. Im so humbled and honoured by this experience I will cherish it for the rest of my life. This production would not have been possible without the support of my sister Chaytanya Nitai who flew all the way from America to provide a donation for the show and act as my big sister, my soul mate, my support, my dearest Mata, who gave a donation for the show and who gave me such amazing reiki before the show allowing my body to feel completely centred, and for coming all the way from Vraj with our devotee community, my adopted sister Anushka Nadia Menon, who worked day and night creating the look, styling the show, packing the house with an incredible guest list, being my rock and of course performing like a star, to my most talented, genius of a life partner Jayant Luthra who created the entire score of the show, tuning into each detail, each movement and for blowing my mind yet again with his gift, for making me hot dinners after all those long rehearsals, and being my sound board, to my assistant choreographer, Shivam Chauhan, who brought such positive vibrations to each rehearsal, who instilled discipline and hard work in all the boys, and who always gave me such brotherly support, to Gaurav Gupta my baby my designer extraordinaire!!
