I forgot that I looked this up on Super Bowl Sunday because of all - TopicsExpress

I forgot that I looked this up on Super Bowl Sunday because of all the statues of El Nino de Atocha at the Spanish Mass - I didnt know much about it. I was at the shrine in Chimayo when 6 months pregnant with Aaron and just beginning to have complications related to the extremely rare, freak birth defect which would cause him to be born barely alive. For the second time in less than 2 years I had walked into a Catholic church and felt the presence of God. Turns out El Nino de Atocha has long been the patron of women about to give birth and those imprisoned for their faith. More recently, the miracles described are in favor of prisoners and those caught in an unfair legal system, miners, immigrants, victims of poor labor and economic conditions and crime, and the seriously ill. He has been called the Patron of the Desamparados, or “the abandoned.” Aguirre’s novena had an enormous distribution in Mexico, New Mexico, and Central America. Nothing that I care about there. Its all just coincidence, right? Youd have to be crazy to believe in something like miracles or even foreshadowing. God forbid I read into all that.
