I found a Super Bounce Ball in the street the other day. I felt - TopicsExpress

I found a Super Bounce Ball in the street the other day. I felt like it wanted me to pick it up, like it had a sign on it. Free, Nearly New, Only bounced Once! I got to thinking about what it means to own something like this. A toy, insignificant in its existence, but it holds a lot of responsibility in possessing it. It has such potential within it, but if you let it live to fulfill its full potential you run the risk of loosing it forever. If you bounce it only a little it stays safe, controlled, and protected. Forever crying out to be free of the limitations that your fear has forced upon it.. If you give it everything you have it will soar to such highs that most people cant help but to smile or say WoW. From there it may stop, or it will run as fast as it can bouncing away in freedom. It will be gone forever. But, dont you owe it to the Bounce Ball to make that decision? You paid your $0.75 to take it from its home and into your care. Now what are you going to do with it? Or like the one Ive found, I have no ties too, do I just leave it in the street where its first owner did after letting it go free, or do I help bounce it back it great heights to once again see its full potential and let it again go free, or do I hold it and protect it and keep it safe? Its a lot of pressure to make a decision like that. What would you do?
