I found a long buried treasure today while going through some old boxes. I came across an audio-tape that I made of my sixth grade class at the end of the 1981 school year! These students are now in their 40s; I was in my mid-thirties at the time. The original plan was to give it to them when they graduated from high school in 1987, however, I moved to Louisiana and basically forgot about it............until this morning. I doubted that it was still good, but miraculously, it sounds just as it did the day I recorded it. They were hilarious! We talked about the school year and their plans for the future. The plan is to play it for my own children and grandchildren just to remind them that havent always been old and then turn it over to someone from that class who will PROMISE to play it at the next reunion of the Copiah Academy Class of 87.
