I found a piece of driftwood on the Isle of Mull that reminded me of an antler. Thats how it started - thinking of those wall- mounted stag heads. I wanted to make something for a candle (maybe because its autumn - autumn needs a twinkly glow) and, through trial and error, put together these beautifully matched pieces, gently smoothed them to bring out their textures and bound them with twine. The twine-edged cup finishes it off. The piece measures14ins across and is 22ins in depth. Cant decide whether I like it best with or without the pendulum - but I love its warmth and its natural beauty against a bare wall.
