I found another strange unlisted geocache today. Its a blue childrens coin bank that looks like a toy safe/vault with a wimpy lock (no part even slightly waterproof). It was open and face up on the ground by a fence 3 feet from a playground sandbox in a location that is crowded all summer and is flooded with sea water a few times each winter. The contents were spilled out: a plastic bag containing magic markers and several sheets of printer paper, one sheet had kids scribbles on it. Handwritten on the container are the words Geocache and do not remove. The container appears busted, forced open. Because nothing was rusty or wet and its been raining for days I cant imagine its been there long. Ive asked around and no one knows anything about it. I wonder if someone in my area is trying to play the game but just hasnt a clue how to go about it. Maybe they dont know you need a proper log, a waterproof container, to have their cache ID and persons contact info, and it to list it online, and that geocaches are supposed to be hidden. This photo is of the cache as I found it.
