I found myself inspired to write this after reading a poem that seemed to be missing something so i ended up writing.... I never liked the rain until I walked through it with you. Every thunder cloud that came was one more I might not get through. On the darkest day there is always light and now I see I never liked the rain until I walked through it with you. I hear it falling in the night and filling up my mind. All the rivers come to light and I see it all unwind. I hear it talking through the tree and tapping on the window pane. when I hear it I just cant believe I never liked the rain falling like i have for you. when the clouds are rolling over thunder striking bright lightning and I wonder why I couldnt see that it is well because when the flood is gone all is not lost in the swell. Ive known all along I just belong here with you, like the rain calling Im falling like night might fall on our better days. leaving us looking to the sky for the winds to take us high above the plains. I know that we can find better ways to look into the storms that will be calling forever falling like I have fallen for you, and I know just why, like the rain I am for you, transparent all the way through a piece of my heart will always be purely you. Like the rain falling it cannot undo what has fallen is done, and when gone will only fall once again too. Maybe then you will see me with you. Maybe then your heart will carry me too. Maybe then you will stick it through, when the rain falls again and again in your life too.
