I found out something new about Facebook today. My Bell business domain, about Welland politics, disappeared a couple of days after the election. Bell is fixing that. My Bell business email is in there, with the email address I used to log into Facebook. I never even looked at the COGECO email that came with this package. When I logged in to Facebook today, a big pop-up told me I couldnt log in because my log-in email address was no longer valid, and it wanted my new email address. At the same time, I got a phone call from someone, nine at night, pressuring me to give him access to my computer, saying it was sending error reports to Microsoft. For me, it would be Dell. I had to stop and think about giving Facebook a new address thats still private. I had to think about what use COGECO email could be. I just decided to take a chance, ignore it, and clicked and logged in as ordinary. Facebook misrepresented itself, what some would call lying. Now, for the first time today, Im seeing the face of a known criminal from a murdering and raping family, Facebook asking me if I want to be friends. If this was happening in ordinary reality, and it is, this would be Facebook co-operating with known federal felons. Its one thing to monetize a system, its another to criminalize it.
