I gave up on State of the Unions over a decade ago as theyve become political spectacles that remind me of Oprah Holiday Show giveaways......He gets XYZ, she gets XYZ, EVERYBODY gets more of everything. Favorable stats are cherry-picked while unfavorable ones are completely ignored. Tonight I encourage everyone when they hear the buzz words investment, resources, revenue, capital, funding..... that they replace it in their head with what it really is.......TAXPAYER CASH. Take a sip of beer each time and watch how hammered you are by 10 pm. Politicians from both sides should only be allowed to use the words taxpayer cash when speaking about any government expenditure or program. Would certainly change the perception of the vast majority of the electorate.
