I get a a lot of comments in other groups that I criticize the institutional church or organized religion too much. I must admit that I do go very hard on the criticism. Its not to demean, or put down anyone who participates and I do apologize to anyone if I have hurt their feelings or made them mad(which Im pretty sure I have). I myself attended institutional churchs the majority of my life, all of different types of denominations and non-denominations. They all mostly have the same routine, same structure, same way they conduct service, same ministries, etc. 99% are pretty much the carbon copy of the one next door, the one down the street, or the one you see on television. I look over the many years of attending and I ask myself how much of it is actually biblical. In this post I want to give everyone the opportunity to do something that we dont usually see in groups at all: DO NOT GIVE YOUR OPINION OR THOUGHTS AT ALL , ONLY SCRIPTURE. MY INTERPRETATION AND YOUR INTERPRETATION MEANS NOTHING ON THIS POST! Give me 10 scriptures or as many scriptures as possible from the New Testament, that backup or prove true about the institutional church or organized religion (however you term it) today. Whether it be the different denominations, the way service is conducted, the ministries in the church, the structure of it, or whatever else you can give proof of using only the scripture and not you opinion or own words. Please use this format as an example: If I wanted to prove that Jesus was born in Bethlehem I would put what I am proving and the verse, thats it: 1. Jesus was born in Bethlehem-Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Good Luck!
