I get a chuckle every time someone blames President Obama for the racial divide that exists in the United States. I also laugh when they say something ludicrous like Obama had the opportunity to really unite this country in such a profound way, but instead he has done the opposite. We are so divided right now, everything has become about race, more than I’ve ever known in my lifetime.” How the hell do you Blame President Obama for doing exactly what all the other presidents in the recent past have done and never gotten even a bit of critique for doing it. Every president has worked on pushing their particular agenda BUT because the things that cut to the heart of this guy are those that affect a minority and those that folks have not been willing to discuss, he has taken a lot of heat. President Obama did not help divide the nation, it was already divided but his very existence begged American society to question its moral fiber and we as a nation missed the opportunity to be open and honest and heal.
