I get confused at how the enneagram can be such a useful, powerful, and repeatedly surprisingly accurate tool and paradigm, but not make much scientific sense. Even if human personality does neurobiologically cluster and clump around nine nodes, which I doubt, I dont get why and how people can have sub-type wings that just happen to always be in the numbers right next door on either side, if you put the personality types in a number order. And, yet - the types, including wings, seem to explain people, again and again.
