I get extra Mom points today. First, I let the boys play outside in the rain with their umbrellas and boots (a couple years ago I would have said no, fighting off a panic attack) later they walked back in dragging mud all over and I calmly told them to go back out and take their boots off while I wiped mud off the kitchen floor. Then, I rescued the grasshopper that they had caught and then let loose in the mudroom. Then when Tucker was sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast and Carter pointed out that he had a cricket on his head, I calmly slapped a cup over the cricket and had him walk outside so I could release it into the wild. I must be slowly getting accustomed to being a mommy of boys. #Ihavetheheebiejeebies
