I get on this soapbox every year around Halloween because every year ignorant people decide theyre not taking their kids trick-or-treating because taking your kids to get candy from neighbors and/or relatives youve known all of your life equates to devil worship. Read your history books or ask whomever heads your church and youll discover that Easter and Christmas also originated from pagan holidays that were celebrated long before Christians celebrated those times of year as Christian holidays. If you want to know why we equate Easter with a rabbit, READ!!!! If youre going to banish Halloween to hell, you might as well tell your kids that the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are decedents of the devil too. When the ^$#@ did trick-or-treating stop being about the kids? I cant find that passage in my bible.
